Salih Najar
Salih Najar lives in Khanaken the same village that Ismail Khayat came from. His colourful and delicate works
reference the Anfal genocides. The contact printed “photograms” are marked with ink and oil paint. Through this
subversion of traditional darkroom technique we are confronted with a tension between the beauty of the image and the reality of these horrific events.
